The soup of the day was borscht and was packed with veggies; my daughter who never usually eats soup couldn't stop eating mine! The kids enjoyed their schnitzels and homemade lemonade from the Kids Menu. I loved my blackened chicken and my husband equally enjoyed his chicken in pastry. Definitely recommend a pie or crumble for dessert - generous portions of summer fruits!
My wife and I ate here both nights that we were in Kaslo. It is a very popular spot. The restaurant is in a house which has quite a history. You will have to eat there to get the history. The menu has many interesting salads and soup. The entree choices are interesting. I had the pork schnitzel the first night and pasta the second night. Both were delicious. I topped off the meal with the house pie for dessert. This restaurant is a must visit in Kaslo
We decided to go out for a meal instead of cooking ... well worth it! Everyone had something different off the menu and everyone was satisfied! We had just ordered the meal when power was lost, I was not sure they would be able to cook our meal and we had started to discuss what to have at home.. however we ended up having a wonderful candlelight dinner! Truly a gem and worth a visit!
Grant & PJ have created an atmosphere you wont soon forget, the food is the GREATEST Grant is an executive chef, his food is to die for, the portions are very large you will leave with a full tummy. there are so many options to choose from. but you cant leave Kaslo untill you have sampled the prime rib.... mouth watering cooked to your perfection. Grant also makes his own breads & desserts from scratch. we have sampled many items on the menu & have never been disappointed yet. we have spent Birthday's, Anniversary's, Christmas parties, New Years Eve, & just plain ole its Saturday lets go for dinner. in the Rosewood you are treated like their best friend every time you visit!!! so don't miss the Pink house at the top of the street
Stopped here for lunch. Very pleased with the atmosphere, antiques all over the house and also delicious food. One had the pot pie and it had great flavor, and not too much pie crust . The salmon quiche was light, fluffy with smoked salmon and a generous portion. The seafood curry bowl, had a delicious coconut taste and a large portion of detente veggies , They also served a basket of freshly baked breads and bread sticks, but we could not eat them, but did take them with us and had them for breakfast the next day.... a nice touch of home. They had lots of amazing looking pie and desserts but we were just to full to make room for dessert here. But the size of the 2" above the edge of the pie crust would have been tempting; Thanks Shona for the good service and hospitality.
