Front Street Pizzeria - Kaslo

I absolutely loved and respected Buddy's for taking a stance against the BC government's illegal mandates and especially how they made an effort to welcome all regardless of personal medical choices. They have fabulous pizza and a great atmosphere.

After visiting Kaslo arriving Saturday checking each day for the pizzaria to open, doors didn’t open until Thursday. So I call in on a hot day to order some pizza to find that the pizza store is not serving pizza at this time. So after years and years of saying it’s open and not being open. Then NOT service g the food that is literally in your name, My family is done supporting this business.

There’s a notice saying that they will not adhere to the vaccine passport requirements. We will not be supporting anyone who does not look after our health.

I visited Buddy’s with my son, daughter-in-law and three year old granddaughter for dinner on July 29, 2021. I am visiting Kaslo from Nova Scotia and my family were taking me out for a treat. The evening began on a promising note with a very pleasant server. We ordered drinks and then our pizzas and waited and waited. It isn’t easy for 3 year olds to be patient, especially when they are hungry. My granddaughter was doing well but the wait was AN HOUR. To add insult to injury, literally, a middle aged couple sat down at the table opposite our table 30 minutes after we had been seated, and I heard the owner of the restaurant tell them that, even though they were very busy, he would see that they received their order quickly. And they did! Maybe 15 minutes after they arrived they had their pizza! In the meantime my very patient 3 year old granddaughter asked us where our pizza was? Good question! The owner came to our table and LIED to us about a mix up in the kitchen and we sat for another 15 minutes waiting. Totally classless, in my opinion, to make sure your friends get preferential treatment while families with small children wait to be fed. Kaslo is a great town and the people are very friendly, but the service at Buddy’s did not make this Nova Scotian feel welcome at all!

My daughter,son in law , husband and myself spent a drizzly afternoon in Kaslo and stopped in to Buddy's Pizza for a late lunch early dinner. Started with strong yummy margarita and the garlic toast......I could have just had that for my meal it was so good. We all wanted something different so the waitress said if we ordered a medium or large we could do half and half. So between all of us we had 4 different pizzas! By far the best crust we've ever had. The flavors were incredible. We took the leftovers back to our cabin and had them at the beach the next day.
