Taqueria El Corazon - Kaslo

This charming little sidewalk cantina is a must-visit, featuring a lakeside patio inspired by a Mexican village!

We enjoyed the freshly made tortilla chips and salsa. Pictured is the halibut ceviche, served with even more chips—two of us couldn't finish it! It was delicious, spicy, and quite filling. We ordered fish tacos based on a recommendation from a friend who spends part of the year in Mexico, and we were not disappointed. The fish was fresh, crispy, and the house-made tortillas were fantastic, perfectly complemented by the sauce and cabbage. The margaritas were delightful as well, and the view from the patio during the day was stunning. Dining here truly made us feel like we were in Mexico. The service was incredibly friendly, with staff adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols, including mask-wearing. Overall, it was a meal we will cherish for years to come, and we plan to return next year. Oh, and the homemade hot sauce is outstanding! We asked to purchase a bottle, but due to food safety regulations, it seems the owner couldn't sell it to us at this time. However, they hope to offer it in the future.

Absolutely fantastic! These are the best margaritas I've ever tasted—shaken to perfection. The Tostada Contramar was exquisite, and the Ahi Tuna tacos were exceptional. The service was outstanding as well. Thank you for the wonderful experience: delicious food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. As someone who owns a restaurant, I truly appreciate the excellence on display here. Our group of 14 was thoroughly impressed!

I absolutely loved the vibe here; it reminds me of my favorite restaurant, Rostizado, in Edmonton. The ceviche and fish tacos are amazing! The ingredients are super fresh, and I really enjoy the family-style platters. I might have to make more frequent trips to Kaslo just to come back to this place!

Great food! The tacos were delicious and so were the margaritas! Loved the patio views of the lake. The fish tacos were a huge hit with my husband and kids!
