At other high-end steak restaurants, I'm typically asked if my steak is cooked to my liking, but that didn't happen here. The waiter did apologize for not being attentive, but by the time I mentioned that my steak was overcooked, the rest of my meal was already eaten. Additionally, they got my drink order wrong. When we inquired about the drink, the waiter didn't know what it was and just left. The service should have been much better, especially considering the prices they charge. On a positive note, the guy who sang was very talented, the trout was well-cooked, and the shrimp were good too. Although this place came highly recommended, I doubt we will give it another try.
I had a wonderful dining experience in a one-of-a-kind old Western building. The evening was beautiful, and we chose to sit outside on the terrace, right next to the mountains. The service and food were exceptional, offering a fine dining menu in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The dish with speck was outstanding, and my pasta with truffle butter was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place! I’ll definitely return whenever I'm in Pagosa Springs!
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food truly made it special. It was such a delightful surprise! We left feeling impressed and very satisfied. We would definitely give it a perfect 10 out of 10 stars. On our next trip to Pagosa Springs, we will definitely return. Cheers!
Fine eating, very entertaining atmosphere. and apparently they employ the only cooks in the pagosa springs area, because all the other in the city is quite right for eating at the gas station while every morsel on these plates requires full attention.
If you are looking for a high end dining experience in the Pagosa Springs area this is the spot. Beautiful location away from the busy town but just minutes away. Gorgeous setting and ambiance inside or out. A little pricey but you are getting high quality meat. Surprised there wasn't one chicken or pasta option on the menu tho. They start you off with their famous jalapeño cornbread cooked in a can. Many have raved over it. I personally found it to be grainy and doughy. The salad options that come with the entrees were good the truffle blue cheese dressing for the farmers salad was outrageous, they should sell it! But whoever dressed it was very heavy handed. That takes me to my lamb chops a perfectly cooked, served on a mountain of potatoes with crispy sprouts but the balsamic reduction was way too much. Def took away from the dish. I would of liked a lot less or non at all because the flavors of this dish spoke for themselves didn't need to be drowned in balsamic. My husbands filet was cooked perfect and full of flavor. Drinks were tasty and strong overall a great dining experience.
