Surtaj Indian Restaurant - Newcastle

We have been coming here for a few years now and it is by far our favourite place to enjoy Indian. The family that run this are always so lovely and the food is ALWAYS delicious and consistent in flavour and quality. Great for younger kids as well with plenty of milder dishes to choose from. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting authentic Indian flavours and a relaxed atmosphere.

Ate at Surtaj Indian Restaurant last night. What a wonderful family run business. Food was fantastic! Service, tradition, delightful. It is even BYO wine. If you have never eater there or ate there years ago it is worth finding and rediscovering. Same family, same décor it really is a wonderful night out. Seriously put it on your eating out place at least once per month. They also do take out. Same great quality.

What a brilliant dining experience had by all! No other Indian restaurant provides the warm, homestyle ambience of Surtaj. The food is absolutely incredible and the staff could not be more lovely, welcoming and helpful. What a special culinary delight that should be discovered by everyone either visting or living in Newcastle. Always good. Been going there for years. Never , ever had a bad meal. And the service........brilliant!
