Movenpick Swiss Ice Cream - Newcastle

During my seven-day stay in Cairns, I visited Mövenpick Cairns daily to enjoy their delicious ice cream. On my last visit, I purchased three ice creams and was given a supermarket bag to carry them in. Unfortunately, the packaging was not adequate as the ice cream was in Dixie cups without lids, making it unhygienic for takeaway. I mentioned this to the staff member who gave me the bag, suggesting they invest in better packaging for their ice cream. She explained she was too busy with other customers to provide a better solution. I decided not to use the dirty bag and carefully carried the ice creams back to my hotel. Mövenpick should improve their packaging for takeaway orders to ensure a better experience for customers.

I had a delicious dessert at Movenpick. The location was spectacular and the staff was friendly. However, the ice cream was very overpriced. The flavor was rich and I particularly enjoyed the pistachio taste.

We had a great time at Honeysuckle Hotel enjoying some delicious pizzas. On our way out, we noticed their enticing egg selection. We were pleased to find out they are also included in the Entertainment Book, which offers a free double cone with the purchase of another. We tried the pistachio and pannacotta flavors, both of which were delightful. The pistachio was not too sweet and had a nice nutty taste, while the pannacotta was rich and delicious. Two of my daughters enjoyed the mint chip blocks with small chocolate pieces, while my other daughter loved the mango and berry sorbet. With a total of two double cones and two single waffle cones for $18.50, the dessert was definitely worth it. It was great on the tastebuds, but not so much on the waistline.

Who doesn't like ice-cream?! Plenty of flavours to choose from so you have no reason not to try it.
