FogHorn Brewhouse - Newcastle

Had the hot wings here a few months ago......Delish!!! The pizzas are also AMAZING! Not a craft beer fan, but if you are, try ot out!

Many of the beers available are world wide award winners brewed by Shawn Shirlock, award winning master brewer. To top your visit off, the food on offer including the Pizzas are delicious. The brewhouse is a great place to visit. I love the venue and found myself enjoying the cleverly designed bar and seating area.Take your time sampling the award winning beer on offer. Ask the bar staff to recommend a beer to start off with then work your way up to the delicious IPAs or Sligo Stout. The great selection of beer is brewed in house and fed directly to the bar meaning you get the freshest beer possible. Happy hour between 5.00pm and 6.00pm also means you get great beer at great prices.Next time I'm in Newcastle I'll be returning as the experience was thoroughly enjoyable. I'm a huge fan of the Dubble Stout with Raisin..... The young American IPA was delicious.

We visited with a larger family group for dinner. Atmosphere is nice and a large group able to be accommodated. Most of us had burgers. Chips were warm by the time they arrived. Burger was quite nice, although the bacon on my daughter's burger was cold. Pizzas looked yummy with others in the group enjoying them. Beer is good. In the entertainment book so quite good value. Large Jenga blocks kept the teenagers entertained.

My sister, nieces and I visited for lunch on a Saturday. There weren't a lot of people there when we arrived but by the time we got our meals many more people had arrived. The food (two salads and a serving of chips) took at least 20min to get to us and a few people who ordered after us got there meals first. Given the meat in our salads we're not warm, clearly it shouldn't have taken than long to get the orders when there weren't a lot of people in the establishment. To place an order we had to wait behind me. The food itself was not fantastic. The Jerk Chicken Salad was very hot, with no indication on the menu that this would be the case. The lamb salad had very little lamb in it. Given the extensive range of food outlets in Newcastle, I won't be going here again.

Easily the best of it's kind in Newcastle, atmosphere is always fun. Beer is great, food does lack quality, but I's go back for more
