Alma's Family Restaurant

Visited 8-30, very nice staff, meal was excellent. special of fish platter was very good. Shrimp and scallops were frozen and were satisfactory, the halibut, pan fried cod fish cake were great. my wife enjoyed the fish

You have to look closely to find Alma's - it is in the strip mall with Foodland - and we were glad we found it. We requested the cod pan fried rather than deep-fried and it was very good. This is family restaurant with a basic menu. Warm friendly service; my husband enjoyed his Partridge berry pie, and my brownie was rich, moist and delicious.

We enjoyed our meal here. We split a Munchie Platter (wings, onion rings, fries, chicken fingers, mozza sticks,) Garlic Bread with Cheese, and some more onion rings. Maybe if we'd gotten something else we would have been more impressed. Coconut Cream and Apricot pies (well priced) for dessert. Both pies were good.

This was the first place we stopped at once reaching Newfoundland and the last place we went prior to heading back to the mainland. An absolute little local gem. Food is incredible and reasonably priced. Alma's homemade bread and breakfasts are to die for! Thank you for everything!
