The Stables Whitford - Auckland

I absolutely adore this restaurant because it is the only one in the area with a truly authentic vegan menu. They offer vegan chicken, Beyond Meat patties, vegan cheese, and many other options. There are not many vegan options in the area, so I am delighted to have discovered this gem. The cocktails are also fantastic.

Unfortunately, there is no longer a dedicated vegan menu at this restaurant, which is disappointing. It may just be a temporary change due to the summer or COVID. However, we were still able to find a few vegan options on the regular menu, such as garlic pizza, mushroom risotto, cauliflower bites, and a falafel burger. We decided to try the margarita pizza with vegan cheese, and it was delicious. The crust was light and the toppings were fresh. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, so I hope they bring back the vegan menu soon.

The staff at this restaurant is outstanding, providing professional and friendly service while still being able to joke around. The food was average, with the falafel being a bit dry, the hummus not very fresh, and the pita on the tough side. However, the atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant is clean, and the drinks are good.

I returned to try the grazing platter burgers again and they were still delicious. The grazing platter itself was also very tasty. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. The service was excellent and our food came out promptly.
