We requested that the French fries be made vegan, and the staff was extremely accommodating, ensuring they did not contain any milk or eggs. The vegetable soup was the only authentic vegan option on the menu, and while it was adequate, it lacked in flavor.
I went to this restaurant with a big group of friends, not all of whom are vegan, and we all found something we liked. The staff was very accommodating when I asked about vegan options and made sure to include them in the wide range of choices. I had a great time and can't wait to go back!
This was my first time trying Filipino cuisine, and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the pata, which is a crispy pork hock, to share, and a small beef kare-kare with a peanutty thick sauce and beef brisket as the main course. We also enjoyed a corn soup and calamari. Each dish was bursting with flavor, particularly the delicious sauces that accompanied them. While the meal was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it.
This restaurant recently opened and I think I was one of the last Filipinos in Auckland to try it. Most of my Filipino friends had already tried it and raved about it, so now it was my turn. After our trip from Waiheke, we were quite hungry and happened to pass by this place. It was in the vicinity, so we didn't hesitate to give it a try. Without a booking on a weekend, we just walked in hoping to snag some unreserved seats.
