We booked seats at the kitchen so we could see all the action. It was amazing to see the hard work. Every plate was exceptional. I almost tipped my main on the floor and they were right there helping to tidy and offering to top up the bean salad. I highly recommend Misha's Pinot Noir as well. This was one of our best evenings out and we hope to come again soon.
Visiting from Singapore, my friend brought me here for my birthday. What was supposed to be a special dinner turned out to be the complete opposite. We were aware that there were only about 5-6 service staff attending to the full house. So it is understandable that Staff were slow in attending to the customers. We had to wait very long to get any attention . our drinks were not being replenished and no one come checking . On my way to the lavatory I spoke to the manager in duty Ana. I politely asked if the next course is being prepared? This Ana with a smirk on her face replied to me “ I don’t know. I haven’t been to your table “. I told her I m aware that all the staff are busy I m just checking She kept repeating that she has not been to my table so she wouldn’t know if the next course is being served or not. A service professional would have just replied “ sorry to keep you waiting. Give me some time and I will check. “. But Ana chose this rude tactless and curt reply to customer who is paying good money to have a pleasant evening there Ana definitely has no clue that she is there to deliver a pleasant experience. She successfully did the opposite. I pray that no other guest was or will be made to feel or experienced how she made me feel. She has damaged the good impression I have of AHI When the server presented the food, I noticed they will tell the guest what’s on the plate. This is so pretentious as they were just repeating what we already see in the menu. And when we asked what is paua the staff struggled to answer. Either no proper training or the standards are just not there. Mind you all this conversations goes on against the loud music and the even louder shoutings from other tables as they too were fighting with the music to hear and be heard. When we wanted to pay luckily my friend checked the bills. EVERYTHING WAS CHARGED TWICE. Not only was Ana rude, she has proved herself to also be incompetent and was not diligence in doing her job as the Manager. My take on AHI is DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

It’s a nice restaurant with good ambiance and nice service. We were seated looking at the kitchen action which made it a great experience. The corn dog was excellent, the bread, the salad, the potatoes as well as the quail. The only cons from the restaurant will be the wagyu dish, too pricey for the grade of it. The taste was ok but the texture was too chewy. From my experience and after talking with the chefs we realized that the wagyu must be from a low grade (I will said a 2) you can see it from the picture there is not marble on that wagyu. I will strongly suggest to get a better grade.
