Moka Joe Coffee House - Anacortes

This is a charming and cozy coffee shop! The baristas are fantastic, and I had the best coffee I've ever tasted! Thank you!

I've been enjoying their coffee everywhere lately, but this week I visited the store twice. I'm a fan of rich coffee loaded with heavy cream, which can be tough to find, but every cup I had was perfect. I ended up buying a bag of K-cups for the office, and I love having them for breakfast and lunch, especially on days when I forget to pack my lunch. Plus, the staff upstairs is fantastic! They have excellent customer service skills. Oh, and did I mention they also offer locally made loose tea? It's definitely a highlight!

I discovered the wonder of Moca Joe's through the cozy coffee shop at The Swim. My absolute favorite is the espresso milkshake with cinnamon powder—it's fantastic any time of year. During my most recent visit, I also tried the chocolate strawberry truffle, and it was out of this world! Is there any way I can get a box of those? The interior is beautifully designed, and they use REAL strawberries, which made my taste buds sing. I felt like I had died and gone to heaven on my trip back to Federal Way, WA.

The best coffee in the Skagit Valley. The mochas get exactly the right proportions of espresso, chocolate and milk. They roast and sell beans, and they are also excellent. There are also good Execize, as there is a large staircase up.

*Update: I decided to change my review due to the fact that the manager reached out to me to help solve my complaints. I was very happy with the changes they have made and instead of having a good board they now have a daily board which is different on some days. I really appreciate the manager taking time to solve my complaints. I’ve recently had another girl, Megan I believe her name is, be my barista the last couple times and she is nothing shy of friendly! She even remembers that I like my drinks extra sweet. Thank you for making changes and I’m glad I can continue coming! I don’t know about the other locations but the newer one in the stand by the casino gas station is a joke. I’ve gone a couple times now within the last couple of months. Their sign says they have scones- every time I’ve gone, no scones. You should probably change that if you’re never going to have them. I just stopped today and was super excited to see they have more food options written on their board. When I asked for an item I was informed nothing was left but bagels and a froze breakfast sandwich Seriously? What is up with never having any food items? I totally understand being low stock or out of items But you literally never have anything atThis location. You shouldn’t be advertising them when you never have them. Besides that I always tip the barista working. When I was handed the machine today I said oh yeah please add a one dollar tip. The barista told me she couldn’t do it and it was too late that I would have to choose cashback? I’ve never been told that and I’ve always been able to add a tip for them. Sorry you didn’t get your tip girlfriend since you apparently couldn’t do it yourself. Super disappointed. Definitely won’t be returning after all the times I’ve given it a chance.
