Z Town Cafe - Zelienople

Been in Pittsburgh area for almost a decade and this is the best chili in the area. Best chili I've ever had period. Very down to earth, friendly people. Affordable and great tasting menu options. Everything you'd want in a small town shop.

Nice experience. The staff was very friendly, and their chili is very good. Prices are very low. I was expecting smaller portions, or cheap food quality when I saw the prices, but was delighted both by the quality and portions. I also read a past review by Mimi asking how garlic could have a sour taste, and there actually is an explanation. When food suppliers seal jars of minced garlic, they add a citric acid and water to the minced garlic which acts as a preservative. That gives the garlic a bit of a sour taste until cooked. I had the mashed potatoes myself and thought they tasted pretty good.

Love the fries!. I love any place that takes the time to make fresh cut fries, and the sandwiches are awsome! They make all their delicious soups from scratch, not to many places do that anymore. I can't pass through Zelienople without stopping there. I wish they would open one in Butler PA! Oh yeah! They have free wifi too, just ask for the password when you order.

EXCELLENT. What can I say? The Wisconsin Cheese soup is phenomenal. His menu is wide-ranging, even veggie burgers and ice cream.

We had breakfast and it was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly the portions were plentiful and the taste was perfection. They only have one server but she is so efficient and fast she can serve quickly whether the place is crowded or not. By the way, the price for any of the breakfast's is $5.00.
