Was very disappointedWe had to wait a long time for our meals, When we ordered requested the toddlers chicken and chips ASAP and when the Chicken Parma was ready please bring it out and not wait for the Medium to Well done steaks as my son had to leave.Son had finished his meal for at least 30 minutes before the rest of us got our meals and this was after the waiter asked did we enjoy our meals and we told him we hadn't eaten yet. Two medium to well done steaks were overcooked and dried out. Think they had been shoved in the oven and forgotten about. The 27 year old son declared the parma as just ordinary. Request for a booking at 6.00pm (due to toddler) was met with the response could we come in later as they were expecting a large group. Said group arrived mostly after us and had a set menu and there were only 10 or so of them anyway.Waitress was surprised at the half eaten meals when clearing the plates and asked was there a problem. Did not like being told the steaks were overcooked and dried out. One meal was taken off the bill. Was planning on going here for another dinner that week with a group of eight but we went to Four Doors after this experience. Two experiences here, one dinner and one breakfast were good, shame the third experience has probably put me off going back.
Had dinner last night here with one friend. Was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and amount of the food.My friend had purchased a voucher on line so two entrees, two main courses and two glasses of wine were included for $49. Coffee was extra. We both had the Salted Calamari entree, which came out steaming hot and the Calamari was so tender. The side sauce/aioli whatever you call it was tasty and went well with the Calamari.I then had the Surf and Turf, yes the dearest item on the menu was not excluded from the voucher like some other places. The Garlic Prawns and the steak were very well cooked and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The dressing on the salad was interesting. Maybe I should have ordered that on the side, next time I will as I will go back here. The meals were certainly generous. I could not eat all the chips that were on the plate. These had been freshly cooked and were really nice chips. My friend had slow cooked lamb shanks from the Specials board and said they were beautiful.Bunkers Cafe is located on the Yarrambat Golf Course so while we ate we had the view of the kangaroos on the fairway and a lovely view of the sunset.Table we sat at next to the window got a bit cold when the sun went down, so we moved to a table next to the fire for coffee. All over this was great value with the voucher in a delightful setting.Would highly recommend, hope they keep this cook and don't make too many changes.
Beautiful view overlooking golf course, a quiet restaurant for a change with carpeted floors, so you can hear each other, meals were exceptionally reasonably priced and very tasty, the atmosphere was warm and staff only too helpful but not in you face. A place to sit and relax without pressure, it was fabulous. Cater for coeliacs as well, and are coeliac aware re using same oil for chips, so we didn't have chips.
Yes, it's a curious name - but nevertheless, I'm interestedAlthough it's called a cantina, Fatto is an Italian eatery.
Really, really disappointingThe entire set up of the venue doesn't work from the start.
