Staff efficient and friendly, Good choice on main menu. Seniors meal of Panko prawns was delightful. More than enough to satisfy anyone. Main meal of steak was beautifully cooked to order. Plates are still loaded with chips but they were crispy, hot and nice, we just couldn't eat them all. Separate salad was usual packaged leaves with a wedge or two of tomato and cucumber with ordinary dressing. Small sweets choice for seniors is always the same, could be improved, sticky date pudding is OK but wouldn't entice me back, diced fruit with some kind of cream isn't a good option. Ambience is usually good but for member's night, only negative was a table of 8 or 10 next to us with several noisy small children who didn't want to be there. It was too cold to take them outside to run around or to the car for a sleep. I felt that provision of a parents retreat with some form of appropriate children's entertainment would allow everyone to better enjoy a peaceful evening.

We went here for a relaxed Sunday lunch recently and were pleasantly surprised at the choices on the menu. The prices were very reasonable and service was good too. We had a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed the meals and relaxed atmosphere. I had a shared tasting plate which was lovely and generous. I also had smoked salmon bruschetta which was very nice. These two dishes, I would order again. As I eat a lot I also had the 'lunch special' fish and chips which was good for the price, $11.50 but I wouldn't order that again.

We decided to try out the bistro at the bowling club for a change. The meals were fine but not a lot of choice. The service good but felt there was nothing special about the place.

We had stopped visiting this venue but now it has new chefs we have found the menu better with nicer choices. Prices are reasonable and staff very helpful. Food was nicely served and hot. A lot of family groups find this a nice place to go locally in Whittlesea.

I met with a friend for lunch. The meal was enjoyable and the staff friendly. It was quiet on the Wednesday we attending. Happy with the meal and the service for a catch up with friends during the week.
