Clancy's Tea Cosy - White Rock

The atmosphere for high tea at this restaurant is charming. On Thursdays, there is a special deal for high tea for two that I highly recommend trying. The food was delicious and we had a wonderful time enjoying our afternoon there. The scones were particularly amazing! Unfortunately, we arrived on a very busy day and the chef was out, so the servers were working hard and a few of our requests got lost in the rush. Overall, the meals here are also quite lovely.

The finger sandwiches (cucumber, salmon, and egg) were creamy and delicious. The scone was perfectly flaky, not crumbly, and the raspberry jam was flavorful without being overly sweet. The dessert selection included a tasty lemon meringue tart with a superb pastry crust and a slice of carrot cake with creamy cream cheese frosting. They offer a variety of tea options, and a small teapot is included with the High Tea service. I opted for the Creamy Earl Grey but plan to try the Market Spice or Maple Cream next time. The parlor has a charming and eclectic decor, with around twelve tables. Reservations may not be necessary for a quick lunch, and they also offer High Tea ‘To-Go’ according to their website.

I have been coming to this restaurant several times since 2016, and recently visited a few times under the current owner. It is a delightful place to dine for high tea. The food is consistently well-prepared and presented, and the service is excellent. The salads are always fresh, and the desserts are always unique and delicious. I always make sure to buy some loose leaf tea from them, as it is not available anywhere else locally. Parking is easy to find on the street. I love Clancy's Tea Cozy!

Before an hour full of delicious tasty bites. so many tees to choose, a decent selection of crumbling and our individual teepots were often filled again. the friend had the squash soup and it was beautiful and thick. that's all. we'll be back soon.
