La Casa De Maria Mexican Food

This restaurant is fantastic! The cozy terrace with a large picnic table is a great addition. Our favorite dish was the shrimp tacos, but be sure to try the beans with chips too! I could have easily eaten a whole gallon of the cheese beans by myself. And you can't go wrong with a well-balanced margarita on a hot summer day.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is incredible. I would say it's the best Mexican food I've ever had. They don't use any pre-packaged ingredients here. Maria and her family make everything from scratch. When this place is open, you have to try it out. But be prepared to dress up a bit. The food was flavorful and delicious. Highly recommended.

Best Mexican food we have had in Canada...and maybe in Mexico too. Margaritas are perfect too. If you can get the carrot cake it is to die for. Shame this place is closed for the winter. It's been our weekend stop.

So although the setting is a bit sketchy. It's a bit weird driving into a driveway set back from the highway don't let that bother you. The food was great. They make an awesome tequila sunset and Pina coloda. The portions were gigantic. We had ponchos, burritos, and tortas. Chicken was not dry. Burritos were not soggy. Everyone said their food was good. Service was pleasant. Definitely recommend eating outside. Kind of smells inside. Hours are limited so be sure to check and they are closed in winter.
