Tacos El Norte - Waukegan

Popular among locals and visitors alike, this situation is a long time in Waukegan. I was there for breakfast. Wide selection of American and Mexican breakfast dishes combined with many other Mexican dishes for a wonderful choice. Breakfast is served with chips and salsa. You have a choice of American style roasted bread or tortillas to accompany a huge portion of everything you order. The coffee was surprisingly good in contrast to brown hot water at many runs of the mill breakfast places. Every place that shows an open kitchen is a winner in my view. Extensive menu for lunch and dinner. Several locations in northern Illinois. Try it.

Great food and service... as always. Very sad that after 27 years in this place they are lost and permanently closed.

As you expect. Very authentic with great dishes of all kinds. I would say the best ki d of Texas n South of the Border. Friendly staff and great cook.

The waitress was very polite and helpful when my father tried to find out what to order. She was also very patient with us as we really couldn't decide what we wanted. The place was clean and quiet while we were there. Meals were delicious and I'll go back. Thank you.

Will come again soon!! The food was great and LITERALLY came within 5 minutes of ordering on a Saturday night. Our waitress, Leticia (sorry about the spelling), was AWESOME. She even thanked us for coming as we were leaving. We eat out pretty often and at many different places and we will be visiting, specifically this location, again very soon. We visited the Gurnee location a few weeks ago and had awful service. The prices are also great, $30 for our family of 4 and we all left full and happy!!
