Louie's - Waukegan

Louie's is my go-to restaurant in Waukegan. Old school Italian restaurant with a small grocery store attached. The food is always great. I love their ravioli and Devil on Horseback. And those little rolls are to die for.

Grew up in the neighborhood and always loved their food.... I don't live in the area anymore but whenever I'm back in the area it is an absolute must have....best Pizza and Bombers on the planet!

There are new owners. I had the pizza. The pizza tasted good. I just didn’t like that the thin crust wasn’t crispy. I will go back and try other menu items.

We had a party of 8 and were seated in the very back of the restaurant. Unfortunately a guest at the table behind us was obnoxiously loud and made normal conversation at our table impossible. I know that is not the restaurants fault, but the tiny enclosed room echoed the noise. Service was good, although slow. The restaurant was very busy. Food was not that good. I had lasagna, it was OK. One person ordered chicken parmigiana, but was given fried chicken. It's not a restaurant I'd return to.

Good food. Friendly staff. Been there since 1941. Doing something right.
