It's family owned; Jenny our server and her family were so sweet and patient with me and my other uncultured friends ?? . I highly recommend adding cheese and ramen to your budaejjigae. We chose to eat it family style, but they have individual sets as well. I recommend family style, since that is more fun.The inside is lovely, and prices are fair. As some other reviews mentioned, extras cost a little extra I don't think this is any reason to deduct stars, not everyone would opt for cheese, tofu, or noodles in their Budaejjigae, and if you go with a group these extras are well worth the price. I paid $7 for a latte yesterday so yes I will happily pay $2 for some cheese on my absolute banger of a Korean stew.Great spot to bring a group and get some great, authentic Korean food OTP!
This was my first time trying Budaejjigae. Surprisingly the saltiness and fat of the processed meat paired very well with the broth and noodles. It was very good!
Excellent food and service! We tired the Budaejjigae for one and the Donkatsu both were delicious and very plentiful for the price. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to try something new.
As we relished the Budae Steak, the Budaejjigae was being prepared and was soon ready for us to enjoy. This flavorful dish paired wonderfully with freshly cooked white rice, making each bite a true delight. The service we received from the young waitress and the owner was exceptional. The middle-aged owner attended to us with patience and genuine kindness, treating us like family. When I complimented her on the service, she mentioned that her employees also embraced an owner’s mentality when it came to serving customers. It was clear that her confident statement was reflected in our personal experience. The menu proudly declared that this is a place where delicious foods are made with handmade broth that is boiled every day. I was truly touched by this commitment to quality. It felt like the owner genuinely lived by her words, and the taste of the food, along with the attentive service, created a perfect atmosphere, reminiscent of old-day Korea. I wish the owner and the staff continued success for creating such a memorable experience. It's establishments like Bally Budaejjigae that evoke beautiful memories and blessings for all who dine there.
You'll think about taking pictures of what you're about to eat, but trust me, you'll take one quick picture and just dive right in. Extremely kind and attentive service and simply fantastic food. The kimchi is superb and you'll leave needing no other meal for the day. Budae Jjigae is what's featured in the picture with added cheese and ramen.
