The sauce had no flavor. It was as if someone mixed the seasonings for a boil and then filled the bag with water. That wasn't the worst part though. When I flipped the mussel over it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. The gunk and barnacles WERE STILL ON THE SHELL. They didn't even wash/brush the shells beforetossing them in the sauce with the rest of the food. I'm sorry to the owner. I don't mean to be that person but I'm genuinely disgusted.
Right here is the chicken/shrimp hibachi plate and an order of fried dumplings(pot stickers)????????????The dumplings were perfect! And the quantity that came with it was shareable although I did no such thing????. Everything was good besides the one little factor of a slight fresh taste from the chicken. What I mean by fresh is that o would?ve preferred more seasoning on it. But honestly it was still good since I had the flavor from the shrimp and gravy that was at thebottom. Vegetables are vegetables. They shouldn?t be over done with anything so those tasted great as well. I love the quickness and customer service from the moment I walked in. It was very clean as well. Red lantern isn?t your averagestereotypical Asian restaurant and y?all know what I mean. I?ll be going back in a second actually. This review is a few days past when I actually ordered the first time.
I have given this place 3 chances and all 3 times I was disappointed. Everything tastes so cheap and sub par. It's not good. The 2nd time I came I was literally the second person in line and they forgot about my order??? I wasted 15 mins waiting on my lunch. No apology. In this pic is the chicken fried rice. See my one piece of what might be a piece of chicken? $8? I'm never going back
I picked up lunch today because I wanted some good Chinese. Big mistake, first time eating here, and I ordered the sesame chicken combo with vegetable fried rice egg roll. Well, the rice was okay, and the egg rolls were good, but the sesame chicken was not good, very chewy, and mostly fried fritter, with sesame seeds thrown on top. Very disappointing, paid $13, not worth it.
I went in at the last minute to have something for dinner never been there before. They were warm inviting and friendly. They were cleaning the place was very clean. I told him that I had never been there before he explained their dishes what I could expect them to taste like. I can truly say EVERYTHING was delicious and I will be going back!
