The satay chicken is a killler and not to bee missed. Overall, although the Laksa is not original but the taste is good. Worth it to go.
Authentic cuisine with an entertaining hostess the lovely Aammi. Delicious Nasi goreng crispy chicken cooked over charcoal smoked satays.
Its name Laksa house so it has to be good but I personally think the Laksa is little over on the sweet side. Compared to other laksa we had, they are slightly sweeter but on the good side, the soup is one of the best in Darwin so far. Their soup is thick and flavourable, so the noodles can hold some of the soup and when you have the noodle, they should combine altogether and not like other laksa shop. Soup is very thin and you basically feel like soup n noodles are separated. Charcoal chicken was very juicy, sauce was tasty. I think just the sauce, I can have couple bowls of rice
The menu is limited and the place looks dodgy but our food was authentic and enjoyable. My seafood laksa was spicy and tasty without being overly rich. The noodles are wheat based, not rice or vermicelli. Ignore the looks and go for the food.
This is easily a locals spot, you can drive past easily not thinking to stop there! The laksa' are huge and are very unique. But the Charcoal Chicken is something special! They usually have it on Fridays and Saturdays, you get half a chicken cooked over charcoals then an Timorese inspired sauce over the top which is both sweet and spicy! But it's definitely worth it!
