Wait staff were friendly, and it was nice to dine al fresco whilst being protected from the rain. We had the sweet and sour fish, which tasted fresh and crisp. I also had the chicken pho. Whilst the broth was satisfying, the chicken pieces were sub par for a restaurant establishment. However, the hot Vietnamese coffee took the cherry! It is not an item on the menu, but can be requested if you are happy to wait. Took me back to being in Vietnam. All in all, not a bad joint.
I ordered vegetarian vermicelli noodle salad, it was lunch time because I was so hungry I asked for extra spring rolls, lunch time it's only 15 but with the extra spring rolls they charged me 20, not really fair when spring rolls as a entree is only 3Was nice but I want to try a new place tomorrow to compare It to other Vietnamese restaurants.I do recommend thins place nice food!
Very flavoursome and great quality pho, although expensive by Melbourne standards. Still, good place for a quick, fresh and tasty Vietnamese meal.
Being from Melbourne we often eat Pho at many different areas around town and found VSS just as good if not better. The Pho and Vermicelli are fresh, with huge flavours and good value for money. After our meal we spoke to the owner confirming no MSG is used in their cooking. Everything is fresh, made from scratch and cooked for hours which is why the flavours are so incredible. Worth noting the cleanliness of the premises, eagerness of the staff to please and the quality of food provided.
The best pho in all of Northern Territory. I had the beef noodle soup tonight. It's obvious the broth is cooked for hours and hours. The flavours are are distinct and served with fresh herbs ! The restaurant staff are really friendly. I like the family business feel of the place... Not pretentious...they always value genuine feedback and offer discounts on some nights. <br/
