City Farmhouse Kitchen - South Portland

It. Is. Freezing in the main dining room yet they refuse to seat us in another place, so here I am ready to review them!I had the wild blueberry pancakes that were delicious! The ploughmans breakfast we had by my nephew that he ate right up, hubby rounding out with the country scramble which he thought was “really good” so since the food was fantastic I’ll just leave it here… I am upset however at the ineptitude of the server (Sofia) who disregarded my concerns, completely.Parking: Restaurant is inside the hotel.

The food was phenomenal, the service was friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was cute quaint and cozy!

The place is inside a hotel. Which looked very run down outside. The inside was nice.The food was ok. It was very overpriced.Waitress had no personality. I wouldn't go back.

Edited to add: our family took other family there a few days later after our great experience and they had very poor customer service from the manager and from their server. The manager was not overly friendly and seemed to be OK making excuses instead of trying to rectify the experience.While the food is great, the service really needs to be rectified before we’ll try again. On another note, both visits the restaurant was FREEZING (as in so cold we had to get a blanket).Original Review: We went for dinner this evening and had the most amazing dinner! Service was ok (not terrible but also not outstanding) but our food was A+.Lobster Bisque, Caprese salad, Prime Rib, and two kids meals all phenomenal!

The hotel restaurant offers excellent food. It's a bit unusual that they don't provide room service, but it's easy to go and pick up your meal instead.
