Amato's Sandwich Shops - South Portland

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I found the food to be delicious and fresh. The staff were very courteous as well. I will definitely return when I'm back in town!

The food and service were both excellent. The woman who prepared our sandwich was incredibly nice and friendly.

I absolutely love Amato’s Steak and Cheese sandwiches! I was at McDonald's next door grabbing a coffee when I spotted their sign. I swung by around 9:30 AM, but the door was locked. Just as I was about to leave, Nyamuoch called me back and kindly informed me that they open at 10 AM, just as mentioned on their door. She took my order with a warm smile, and I could already tell she was going to make my day so much better! Thank you, Amato’s!!!

The sandwich was the best Italian I’ve ever had! I rated it 4 out of 5 because we had just driven an hour and there were no restrooms available, which was a bit challenging for me.

I ordered a steak and cheese calzone, and it was one of the best I've ever had. My daughter also loved her mushroom pizza. The staff was exceptionally kind, friendly, and accommodating.
