Risin' Smoke Barbecue - South Hill

I ate here a few times, the food is pretty good. Good beer list and the service was good. My question is the prices. It was $13,50 for the chicken sandwich I got, and for chips or waffles it is an extra $4-5. I've got sweet potatoes to make lunch come to $18.50. The sandwich is just a biscuit, a piece of chicken, some pimples and honey butter. If you are the Mac n cheese with a piece of chicken the chicken is $5, and is huge, the chicken on this $13,50 sandwich was perhaps half the size, why exactly did it cost $13,50 and not even chips on the side? I made myself feel torn off somehow, and while the food is delicious, it was probably the last time I went there because it is not very special. It's fried chicken, you have to compete better than that to the many options out there.

About price, under taste, order was also wrong. A star seems like I might be a little hard, but order was $58 for two people for fried chicken, both wrong and not better or more special than Chik-fil-a.

Had good and bad experiences here. Last order had a baked and grilled chkn-sandies. Both were lubricated together like nuggets and cooked into a solid mass. Not cool for $15. Have also had great sandwiches, but consistency counts.

The bleedings are 4.2/10 hot chicken 7.1/10 good sauce and decent bread normal roasted chicken 5.0/10 juicy, but over shattered Pictured is the hot boy (I think) needs a fork and knife but was pretty good

10 stars! This hidden gem, is definitely worth it! The chicken was fresh, staff was great, drinks were amazing, the kids loved the Mac n cheese and their southern fried chicken! Us 4 adults enjoyed the Nashville Hot fresh fried chicken, the buttermilk biscuits with the blueberry jam was so fresh you could taste the awesome earth! Definitely come try this place!
