Nicky's Mexican - Shreveport

Went at 3:30pm on a Tuesday. It was not busy at all, there were only a few tables with people. We stood in the lobby for 10 minutes and I literally had to jump up and down to get someone's attention. Not a huge deal, but still... Then when we sat down and the waiter tried to take our order even though we didn't have menus. We asked for menus and he gave them and left so we could look at them. After 20 minutes he had not returned. I stood up and looked around and did not see any of the staff. After another 5 minutes I stood up and looked around again and didn't see anyone, so we just left. It was pretty ridiculous. Also, it's not their fault, but a piece of chip got stuck in my gum.

I showed up; the resteraunt was basically empty. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes to be seated or even acknowledged. Immediately after being seated and given chips and salsa, our waiter (who seemed very sweet) asked for our orders before realizing we had never been given menus. He promptly gave us menus and disappeared. The salsa tasted like comino and pizza sauce, and we didnt see another staff member for 30 minutes, so we decided to just leave.

Normally, I'm one to type 50% of the bill, but last night was one of the rare occasions that hasn't left. we had to look for a hired person to sit and then the waitress was just extended. I ordered my food first and it never came, so we asked for a container to go and she couldn't even transfer it and had someone else do so that it was enough for me to know that she didn't want to tip at all. manager tried to ask what happened when I went to pay, but I didn't want to take it on him. I do not recommend this place.

We sat fast and the staff was very friendly. Waiting time was a little long for what we ordered, but they give them chips and salsa, so it helped us track us. my man said his chimichanga was in order, but a little disappointing, because all that it had in him was bark and cheese. my shrimp tacos were amazing, the sauce they use is from this world and the court tied together. they charge them the card I find, as people nowadays rarely carry cash. limited options for small children. all in all, a good experience and better than taco bell, but not a place I probably choose again.

My family visited this location tonight. It was an awful experience! Our waiter got our order wrong, so we had a missing meal. He was extremely inattentive to our table and we are very easy going people. He would pass up our table when we tried to flag him down, we basically had to beg for drink refills, Which only got filled once. Our waiter was too busy talking with his friends at other tables. We will not be back to this location or any other's. This is the second bad experience we've had at these establishments.Also, the food quality wasn't very pleasant.
