Sansai Grill Sherman Oaks

Not good at all. This is probably the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The fish had a strong, off-putting flavor, there was hardly any fish in the rolls, and overall, the taste was just bland. If you prefer food without much flavor, this place might be ideal for you. I ordered delivery through Postmates, and when the food arrived, everything was poorly packed and thrown together. This wasn’t the delivery driver’s fault; it was a direct result of how the restaurant prepared the order. Everything was falling apart. I also didn’t receive any sauce, which would have made the dry food more palatable. The spicy tuna on the rice cakes was supposed to be served raw, but due to the restaurant’s poor preparation, the fish was fully cooked by the time it arrived, and there was maybe a tablespoon of fish spread across four rice cakes. The prices are low, but at what cost? In my opinion, it’s just not worth it.

I absolutely love this location! Since moving to the area, I've been visiting more frequently. Positioned right across from Whole Foods, Sansai offers a better value in terms of taste and freshness compared to similar items I've tried at the Whole Foods bar, and it's even more affordable. The servers and cooks are friendly and attentive, and there’s a great variety of options available. I highly recommend giving it a try!
