Stage House Tavern - Scotch Plains

On an unusually warm November day (70 degrees), I decided to visit a historic landmark in Union County, NJ. The Stage House Tavern has been a gathering spot since the 1700s and continues to thrive today. The menu offers a nice variety of options, and the pleasant weather allowed us to dine outside. I ordered the baked chicken dish with vodka sauce over spinach fettuccine, while my wife chose the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. Both meals were excellent!

I was at all three locations Somerset, Mountainside and last but not least Scotch Plains. The consistency is there, although three different locations. Although the buildings are different in layout and design, the food, beverages and employees offer quite a lot the same high quality standard. The drinks were excellent, but mixed emotions about the food meant that my buffalo flower appetizer was excellent, but my penne vodka Pasta was Bland and lack taste with a non-traditional noodle substitute. Overall, however, it is a great place to enjoy yourself and share laughing with friends and family, the more the Mercerrier is because they are able to absorb virtually a lot of size. Kudos to all involved and keep the great work. I'm back.

A beautiful facility with a following. They have interior and exterior seats with vintage bars. That night the vibe was out, so much we had to sit in the interior. We had a Swiss burger with mushrooms and grilled onions. The other anree was the Crusted Parmesan Chicken with fatty succinne. The burger was perfectly boiled while the chicken had a nice crunchy when it was eaten. A good selection of food and beer. You have a lot of parking. Prices are reasonable and the service was professional and polite.

Nice place. came here to pick up a bedroom and ended stumble on this gem. Great service, food and general mood. Saw outside. Server Ethan was on point?

The restaurant didn't live up to the hype for me. It felt more like an overpriced pub inside a nice-looking building. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich I ordered lacked both spiciness and crispiness. However, their wings are really good—very crispy and the sauce is fantastic. The outdoor bar looks like it would be a fun spot on a Saturday.
