Great views at Okay Thrifty Ice Cream, $8 for a Schub.

My wife and I visited this ice cream shop while exploring the pier. I ordered the chocolate chip ice cream and my wife got the rocky road. The prices were a bit high, but we expected that being located on the pier. We walked from our hotel, which was about a mile away, so we didn't have to worry about parking. The shop had benches outside where we could sit and enjoy our ice cream.

I arrived at the restaurant at 6:23 pm only to find it closed, even though the website indicated it closed at 7:30 pm. A young and extremely rude female employee told me abruptly that they actually closed at 6:30 pm. When I pointed out that it was not even 6:30 yet, she rudely shut the door in my face. This incident occurred on December 11, 2021. After reading other reviews, it seems that this behavior is a recurring issue at this establishment. The employees are consistently rude and unprofessional. It is baffling to me how management allows this behavior to continue unchecked.

Smells like funnel cake. no funnel cake. no wagging. only overpriced fragrant ice cream. left and went to sb sweets for some warm crepes and ices. They have a great location but not on the sweet fix supply.

I do not understand how you can justify charging 7.50 a scoop for ice cream that literally says thrifty on the side.
