Cali rolling average, but I had the salmon skin handroll and was very good! Also a variety of veggies for the tempura. My son had steak teriyaki dinner there and was very good. I'd try other dishes again. The service was attentive, but not disturbing. Nice waiter and service with a smile. The typical Japanese decor with 70's/80's touch. Parking small and the bathrooms could be a bit brighter. But again, the food was good together with the service. I'm going back.
The yakitori was cooked to perfection. Kyoto has been an experience each time that I?ve dined here. Make sure to try at least 3 4 rolls and a hand roll with some warm sake. During these Covid times the spaces are neatly separated for a safe atmosphere. If you?re dining out make sure to call far in advance so that you get your meal right on time.
One night in a high-quality restaurant. 80% chance you love it there, but a court was terrible on November 13, 2022. We ordered five dishes, and the service was great, the mushroom salad was good (Avocado was served as a strange shrimp, but it was good). The Sashimi was tasty and my roller tasty; and the ten Zara was pretty good, but someone left the ice cubes in the cold buckwheat noodles. No biggie. The problem was the oyako ju, it was the worst godly chicken as it had freed or was cooked once before they began to broil and prepare, the egg tasted funny, I couldn't eat it, sent it back. But based on the rest of the restaurant and our dishes, I would give them another chance at some point.
I enjoyed coming to Kyoto for a while. The food always tastes fresh, the service is good and portion sizes are generous. The last time I left, the lobster was full of imitation cancer and had very little lobster.
