El Mexicano - Sanford

The restaurant has amazing food and a friendly staff. I highly recommend checking them out. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian options, plenty of parking, and are very family friendly. The restaurant is also wheelchair accessible, making it a great choice for everyone. Service is excellent and they serve dinner.

While in Sanford for a marching band competition, we stumbled upon this restaurant not far from the school. It felt like a cozy backyard setting. We dined in for dinner, with prices ranging from $10–20 per person. The food was decent, receiving a rating of 3, while the service was better at a 4. The atmosphere was also pleasant, earning a rating of 3.

The food was terrible, with a rancid smell and unfresh fish. The decor was outdated and dirty. We did not eat the food we ordered. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The service was absolutely awful it took over 20 minutes after we were seated for someone to come serve us. Even after that we had to ask other workers for drink refills. Btw the restaurant was empty maybe 5 other parties there. The food was mediocre at best and multiple people in my party received cold food. To top it off everyone in my party of 8 felt sick after eating there, with one of them puking all night. We were all extremely disappointed and will never be back again.

Excellent food. Great price. Fast friendly service.
