Okayama Sushi - San Jose

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I was looking for a quiet spot for a light lunch and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the friendly host, to the inviting atmosphere, cleanliness, quick service, and delicious food, everything was top-notch. The photos may not do the dishes justice, but trust me, the taste, quality, and freshness are all there. The menu is extensive and offers a wide range of options, including many vegetarian dishes. I particularly enjoyed the sweet tempura special veggie roll (featuring shitake mushroom, cucumber, asparagus, and yamagobo) and the crack me up roll (a deep roasted spicy tuna roll).

I frequent Okayama Sushi more than any other sushi restaurant in Japantown. The food and service are fantastic, and they have longer hours than most other restaurants in the area.

This restaurant in old Japan city in San Jose is a fantastic choice for enjoying a Bento box. We traveled all the way from Sacramento just to visit this place. We opted for the 2-item box as the 3-item box seemed like too much food to handle. The restaurant also has a spacious outdoor terrace where my well-behaved dog was allowed to sit with us. The service was excellent, and our meal was served half in polystyrene boxes and half in a Bento box.

I really enjoyed the chicken Udon at this charming Japanese restaurant. It's important to arrive early for dinner, even on a weekday. They also offer a Star Wars themed menu and fun comic character bobbleheads, which adds to the overall uniqueness of the restaurant.

Give their bento boxes a try. They offer generous portions at an affordable price.
