Peet's Coffee - San Jose

Inside is fairly clean, busy with wall to wall people. I ordered a double decaf expresso in a tall cup and added 1/2&1/2 it has a sweet bitter bold creamy taste that I expect out of my expresso but has some notes that seemed off for my palate. Having had plenty of Peet 's in my day. I will not reorder the decaf expresso at this location again. Bottom line was my coffee good? (No) why? Actually it 's not because of the coffee Believe it or not, it 's because I walked into the restroom and it was filthy the walls and door are filthy as though they haven 't been cleaned in weeks or months, so it makes me concerned about the hygiene of the barista 's.

I've had nothing but bad luck with Peet's, which is sad because I like their actual coffee better than most places. Unfortunately at both locations I've tried in San Jose they can't make a cappuccino to save their lives. The drink I got today seemed to be just coffee with milk and foam. When the cup is full you know there is something wrong, but I just took it and left without complaining. Last time they filled the whole cup with cream and dropped a couple shots in. It was sickening and actually went back to complain. The guy who remade it made a perfect cappuccino but it seems most of the staff at both locations doesn't know how to make the different drinks they serve.

Always very busy at this location, but it's for a reason: super friendly staff and great drinks! The baristas always try to make latte art which is a nice touch. Definitely my favorite Peet's!

Very fair prices low key they do not ask you to leave. Good coffee and.food. clean inside and out. Parking was next to place and out door seating.
