Ludwig's German Table - San Jose

Had the Jager schnitzel and a cherry cider, they went really well together. The mushroom sauce was just about perfect. Followed up with an apple strudel for dessert. It was so much food and so good. The waiter, Anders I believe, was very friendly and came by frequently to check on everyone. Plenty of outdoor seating. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

10 out of 5 stars. I lived in Germany and found their Jagerschnitzel to be amazingly authentic. Their cucumber salad was also great. Wine sprites a delight. The atmosphere is casual, like a German wine fest. Looking forward to attending an activity soon!

The Mac and cheese was amazing and it's a must try. I loved it. The pretzel balls in mushroom sauce were very good too. The sauce was rich and creamy. The pretzel we got from the appetizer menu was so soft and warm. As per my German friend, the vegetarian dishes we had here are very authentic. You have great beer options here.

I came here with high hopes for the food and beer and I can say with 100% honesty that this is one of the most authentic German experiences I've ever had outside of actually being in Germany. The food was excellent, the beers served in the correct glassware, and the atmosphere was welcoming thanks to the owner's friendly attitude and attention to his patrons. I'd give Ludwig's 6 stars if I could.

Authentic, very very very good food, beautiful atmosphere, and nice staff. I am very picky with restaurants and have to say I loved this place! I moved here from WV and this has been my favorite restaurant in San Jose so far.
