Five Star Pizza - San Jose

Underrated spot. For 8 bucks you get a personal better than little Caesars or dominos. Not fantastic pizza, but solid. Dough and sauce are good.

This unassuming little pizza place delivers a pie that has no business being so delicious. It's completely ridiculous. The pizza crust is just unlike anything I've had anywhere else (from coast to coast and on three continents) and the veggie masala pizza is *chef's kiss* perfection. The vegan cheese option is also a big draw for us. We have gotten a Gilroy Garlic pizza with vegan cheese multiple times and each time is so spectacular that we never want to stop eating it. I order to pick up and the person behind the counter is always friendly and helpful.Vegetarian options: Vegan cheese! On-menu vegetarian pizzas, easily made vegan by asking for no cheese or subbing vegan cheese for a modest up charge. We're very happy with the options here.Dietary restrictions: They have vegan cheese and also you can ask for gluten free crust.

Owners were very nice when opened and pizza was descent. Later the pizzas had no flavor, bland and not better then frozen from a store.My last visit I had ordered with a coupon special.that the female owner said they would honor even without coupon in hand the guy at cashier said no will not honor special. Just plain rude is what I didn't like. Now their competition opened across street so decided to not visit this place anymore. Even when they keep texting me coupons!
