Przekaż informację zwrotnąWent here to try the uni pasta, but I was not impressed. This is only the second time I’m having uni and there was no distinct taste or texture. It’s like it just blended into the creamy sauce of the pasta. It was cheesy so at least it wasn’t bland. We also had kumamoto oysters which were fresh, but nothing spectacular about the sauce that came with them. Soft shell crab was tasty. Overall, I would say that the food is just average. We got seated right away at 6ish pm on a Friday night though, which I wasn’t expecting as the restaurant is in Santana Row. $120-130 before tips for 2 people I guess is to be expected given the location (we also had drinks). Not a place I’m raving about, but it’s ok.
I ordered the black mussels. They were tasty. The Indoor decor at EMC Seafood restaurant is attractive. But this was a warm day so I sat outside and that was quite a pleasant scene. The waiter was cordial and helpful. The menu prices seem a bit pricey. Only 5 pieces of sashimi with no sides was $20, which is expensive. If I wanted a soup, salad, and rice it would cost well over $30. Oddly enough, they have sushi and sashimi but not miso soup. That seems odd to me. I like sashimi but with miso soup and more.
Perhaps the best restaurant in Santana Row. Delicious food, good service, and good seating outdoors. Everything we tried was great.Forced gratuity: 20
We went EMC for dinner. I love the UNI pasta! It is Japanese noodles with creamy uni sauce. If you prefer italiano pasta, you might not like it!The soft shell crabs are fresh and full of eggs, so they are delicious too.Crème purée gave me the best ending for the whole meal!
4.4/5: Had to send one dish back; fried oyster, i bit into one of them and it was all breading but the one my mom had before i sent it back she enjoyed it.
