Castillo's Mexican - San Jose

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants to visit. Both the food and service are great. I would give it 5 stars if it was open on Sundays, but I appreciate that the company gives their employees the day off. The prices have gone up, but it is still more affordable than many other places. I usually order the 2 taco plate, which is always filled with generous portions of meat.

The service was excellent, the hospitality was outstanding, the food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be returning.

This restaurant is family-owned with a friendly and efficient staff. The food is hearty and delicious, just as you would expect. They offer a selection of wine, beer, and margaritas. We love the cozy family-friendly atmosphere.

We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. We were visiting from out of town and loved the delicious flavors of the mole and chili verde. The service was excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future!

I really enjoyed my visit to Castillo's. This time I had a combination of tostada and flauta, both with shredded beef, and the fish tacos again. I absolutely loved both dishes. I would give this visit 4 stars. It was my first time there and I appreciated that they have indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is nice, spacious, and clean. They start you off with chips and a very mild salsa that is more like a sauce than chunky tomato salsa. The fish tacos were incredibly delicious - grilled, not battered and fried, and very moist, with a nice salsa and special sauce on top. Two tacos were more than enough to fill me up, especially when paired with the very good Spanish rice and refried beans, both of which were also moist and delicious. The food came out hot and the Chile verde was also tasty. The service was very courteous and there was plenty of parking available.
