Nevertheless, the host got a table and was cool about it as long as I had gone for the table before the reservation. they make a great greyhound and the salad was with smoked salmon? french wobbler suppe was decent but overall a great place with great service!
When on April 8th I was in Portland, ME my niece and her husband took me to Petite Jacqueline for dinner. Imagine my surprise when I got home and saw in the TV shows we recorded that Chef Cody was on Chef Boot Camp The post show notes said he was there 4 months later. I expect that included our dinner. The escargot were buttery, rather than overly garlicky and really pleasant. The Onion Soup was full of flavor. I liked the croutons rather than a big piece of toast easier to eat. My niece had mussels that she loved and her husband had salmon that was great. The Brussels sprouts got kudos all around. Chef Cody is a great chef and worthy of his job and 15 minutes of fame.
Everything about this place was excellent. We arrived for brunch and just loved the look and the vibe from the onset. The food and service were even better. Probably my favorite dining experience of our weekend in Portland. Highly recommend when you visit.
The staff went above and beyond to make this anniversary special. From the table by the window, to the excellent level of service we recieved. The bartender was accommodating of my not drinking and had plenty of mocktails that were excellent. Cannot wait to come and celebrate here again.
I have to give an honest and fair review of this place. First off I do want to point out the steak frites we’re absolutely delicious. But outside of that everything was just ok. Small app menu, no specials, and drinks were ok as well. Back when Petite first opened up over 10 years ago it was a terrific restaurant and if it was the same as it was years ago I would easily have given a 5 star review. Hope Petite is open to suggestions but add more apps, add some specials, remodel the restaurant it just seems depressing in there and it doesn’t have that French theme that is once had. This restaurant has the potential of being a great restaurant. I do want to end a positive note, staff is very friendly and we did receive wonderful service.
