Malagueta - Portalegre

Located on a country road outside the town of Portalegre 2 wood burners kept us toasty Waiter spoke English Would have been nice to sit at a window with three lovely views but those tables were set up for 4 and we were 2 so had to sit by the wall. It was a shame because it wasn't that busy. Good food and wine and prices.

Restaurante familiar muy sencillo situado a las afueras de Portalegre. Son super amables y la cocina es casera y riquísima. Precio muy asequible. Recomendable!!!

Taking advantage of the fact they don’t have many other options around they charge you stupid amounts of money for standard food

Plainer in its dining room and simpler in its menu than the Tombalobos, which is not too far away, but still offering very decent Portuguese dishes at reasonable prices and less likely to be closed on Sunday and Monday. Proprietor does not speak English so take a dictionary.
