En Ca Milio - Valencia de Alcántara

Typical bar restaurant could walk from El Jiniebro and is on one of the dolmen routes long distance footpaths. Nice salad, omelette and bonus liqueurs on house! Sat outside under sun shade with dog vultures flying overhead.

Dont expect a five stars, glamorous and posh cutlery but a really tasty local food. We were strongly encouraged by other local to drive a few miles and pay a visit to this restaurant. It s a local bar with a big lounge that works as a restaurant. Staff is friendly and honest. The guy （Emilio?）suggested that we were ordering too much...and he was right. Food was yummy and well done. That's what we ordered: -Spanish omelette with greens （picture attached). Take a look at its height. -Tomatoes and onion salad. Simply delicious! -Salmorejo （never found any place in Spain it wasnt perfect） -Gazpacho. -Prueba de Cerdo（kinda pork stew...fab! ） -Cabrito （young goat s meat） Staff must be thanked again. Regarding the price, isnt deer. We were five adults and two children and bill didnt reach 77eur（some beers at the arrival were included in the bill） Tu sum up, if you are by this part of Extremadura near the border with Portugal, it s really worthy to enjoy the local taste at this restaurant. My Five stars rate are only based on the food taste.

Incluso si no vas a visitar los dólmenes,error por tu parte,debes de comer en este restaurante.En Ca Milio hay cocina casera y tradicional añadiendo también la caza,guisos de cuchara y muy buen género.El precio es muy razonable y el ambiente es perfecto. ¡Merece la pena!

Comida sabrosa y con productos locales de muy alta calidad. Para volver cada vez que uno pueda. Platos muy ricos y variados. Postres todavía mejor.
