Madagalli - PORT FAIRY

I've eaten here before, but tonight I had takeaway pizza. It's was pretty quick and yummy for a small town :)

Had a pumpkin pizza, and an Italian pizza here while on an overnight stay. Good value pizza, great crispy base and quality ingredients prepared in quick time by a friendly fellow with a big smile. Thanks for the pizza mate, great work!

Although we had seen negative reviews and low ratings, Madagalli was the only restaurant in Port Fairy that welcomed us at 7:30pm on a Wednesday night when most of the town was closed. We decided to give it a chance and we were pleased that we did. While it shouldn't be mistaken for a pizza joint, as there are others in town for that, the curry and stir fries were delicious. The Sri Lankan manager should focus on promoting these dishes. The service was friendly and efficient, and the wine list was sufficient. Overall, we had a wonderful evening and would definitely return.

We went to the restaurant on a hot night and the staff seemed a little overwhelmed due to the lack of air conditioning. We decided to sit outside in the back, which was a nice little area, although it would have been nice to have some fans to cool down the air. The service was good and the pizza was delicious. The pasta was just average, but I highly recommend trying the garlic bread with cheese - it was delicious! We will definitely be returning in the future.

We came here for dinner and wanted something simple. Restaurant out the back of the store. We had the garlic bread with cheese and Thai spring rolls for starters. Both had pasta for mains which was huge and good. Service was average.
