I didn’t enjoy my coffee but the others in the group thought they were okay. Latte glass was too hot to hold needed a wrap or serviette around it. Slices were not homemade the caramel slice was nice but jelly slice inedible you couldn’t even cut it in half : savoury scones were homemade were beautiful.
The name had me (thinking fresh) didn’t disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly, coffee was great, and the food was delicious,I had the farmers breakfast 1/2 serve there was so much food and all delicious. Hubby had the Mexican bean dish which was not something he would normally have but he loved it. Best breakfast we have had for a very long time. Only problem is we live 15 hours away !!!
Great little find, tucked away down a little lane. Friendly, relaxing, atmosphere. A little oasis in a bustling tourist area. Great coffee. We didn’t eat but everything looked yummy.
Such a great cafe. Staff were helpful with dietary requirements/requests and offered to replace items with other options. Very lovely and quite location hidden away from the main strip.
Port Fairy – if you haven’t been there yet – is an exquisite, historic, little sea-side town in far-Western Victoria. 3½ hours’ drive from Melbourne. And less than 30 minutes from bustling Warrnambool. It’s a beautiful, serene village – with great beaches and plenty of accommodation. And no shortage of places to eat – across the dining spectrum. Tucked away down a very narrow alleyway (that you can easily miss) in the main street of Port Fairy is a truly amazing find – The Farmer’s Wife Harvest café. A comfortable, cute little spot – with tables either inside or in their little courtyard. Based only on our one visit to this delightful spot – we can say that … the Crew’s friendly, good service, a very-ok range to keep your stomach content. And a team in the kitchen who know what they’re doing. I won’t say it’s worth driving 3.5 hours from Melbourne especially. But if you’re in or around Port Fairy – try this great little spot, for either a recharge during the day or a solid and enjoyable lunch. You won’t go wrong. We didn’t. Quite enjoyed the experience – an almost-secret find, tucked away in the middle of Port Fairy.
