Wah Wing Szechuan - Port Coquitlam

My husband and I have been craving for a good Chinese food. We have done take out here many times before, it's our first time dining in actually. I am so amazed on how good the service is at this restaurant. Food came out fast and it was delicious. Did not disappoint ?. Thank you wahwing, we will definitely dine in again.

My boyfriend and I were craving Chinese food, and I looked up places in the lower mainland and based on Google reviews decided to try this one! We were happy we did, the service was excellent, very friendly knowledgeable staff who gave us recommendations and were attentive. We ordered chicken chow mein and pork dumplings, very good and the perfect amount for us 2. We will be back.

Wah Wing has been here for close to 30 years now, with mostly traditional Cantonese dishes plus several Szechuan dishes. They have always been good in the past so I must caught them on an off day for a dinner takeout the boneless pork was overcooked so it was tough and chewy and the fried rice dish was smaller than expected. Maybe it will be better next time.

Took my parents here for dim sum on Mother’s Day. While the food was average (very good for the price though), the service was what prompted me to write this review. I can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and the staff actually seemed to truly enjoy working there! They were friendly, cheerful, and full of energy. It was a busy time, but they were always quick with any requests we had (teapot refill, extra napkins, take out for leftovers). The restaurant itself also looked quite elegant and not what you would expect from the outside. I would definitely return.

We have been going here for many years but were disappointed with the entree sizes of our last takeout dinner. The house special fried rice is half the size it used to be and other entrees at least 1/3 less! I would rather pay more for a proper sized portion than feel shorted at the end of the meal. The food was good, but the value is just no longer there. We won’t try again, unfortunately.
