Buca's Seafood - Paterson

Nice place clean however they need to stop over frying the fish please the whitings I got were completely dry and fried entirely too long and extremely greasy it’s like chewing wet cardboard all the sea food I got was fried too long. If I knew I was getting some type of refund I’d go back but why even bother. ?? never again. $60 down the drain and in the garbage.

Friend of mine raves about this place but it’s 30 minutes away . Well last night he convinced a bunch of us to try it .It’s Paterson so parking can be tricky but enough side streets to find a spot.Definitely more of a takeout place but a few seats .Lots of seafood and even steaks on the menu . We ordered a steak ,fried shrimp , boneless wings , salmon, and of course snow crab !Took about 20 minutes and everything is made fresh right in front of you .Place was busy for 10:30 at night .My friend said the boneless wings were about the best he ever had .I had crab legs awesome . Salmon awesome and fried shrimp all top notch and fresh . Seasoning was so good on everything didn’t even use the sauces they gave me .Double order of crab legs , 6 fried jumbo shrimp, and an order salmon was just under $50. The crab legs were $15 an order and good sized.Owner was manning the grill and talked to us while he was working for a minute or so but place was pretty busy so he had to get those orders out .Worth the hour round trip. The food was well packaged so taking it home is the best way to do it.Will be back !

Eeeeeh. Was excited to try the different seafood empanadas, purchasing all, except the crab only because they ran out. Although large they are disappointing because they’re all filled with various other ingredients CHEESE!! Seafood cheese?!? A culinary no no honestly a quick “ food cheat” The empanadas are more of a seafood “chowder”…Salmon Empanadas Corn, onions, peppers CHEESEShrimp Empanadas Corn, onions, peppers CHEESE“Lobster” Empanadas Corn, onions, peppers CHEESEI honestly couldn’t tell the difference unless eating them.However friendly staff, nice aesthetic, quick service.Vegetarian options: Steamed Veggies !!

I’m only giving it 1 star simply because I waited outside of establishment for a hr and it never opened!! It says open from 12 and I waited until 1pm and still no luck!! Time is of a essence and to waste a hr lunch break is ridiculous put your real time for real customers smh
