A favorite spot for many including the locals. This is a great place to come and meet new people sports enthusiast alike. Join them for trivia night or rent it out for a party. Very accommodating and friendly.Kid-friendliness: They have plenty of entertainment for the kids as well as adults. :
This place is a quality restaurant disguised as a bar the food is very high quality, though you'll pay up for it. There are plenty of seats around the bar as well as tables good for groups up to 4. The service was great, vert prompt and courteous. French Onion Soup Dumplings: These are a frequent highlight among fellow Yelpers for good reason. You get 6 little dough balls filled with french onion soup and topped with a ton of cheese and chive shavings. I havent seen a menu item similar to these (besides more traditional soup dumplings). These certainly lived up to the hype, and I would recommend them. BBQ Benedict: Savory and sweet pulled pork sitting atop english muffin slices and topped with perfectly poached eggs. They're served with a hash brown (cut into two pieces) and a raw cabbage salad. While very tasty, would recommend to add another hash brown to the dish one is simply not enough especially given the amount of free flowing yolk and bbq sauce. Super convenient since I live down the street. Fun atmosphere and connection to Van Cortlandt Park. The food is good, but pretty bland. Burgers could use some sauce or something.
Came here for brunch and truly enjoyed the food. My avocado toast was done *perfectly*, and the feta cheese was a nice touch.Outside of food nothing positive to say. I don't get the hype around this place, it's really average looking and with below-average service. The tables were sticky and there was a very unpleasant smell coming out from somewhere (how did other people feel so comfortable and relaxed? , the service was rather slow, and the coffees we asked for were barely even warm. Our server didn't seem to care much about our experience overall. I also can't really recall coming to a bar/restaurant that would be serving water in paper cups, but it was the case here.Nothing special about the ambiance either.
