Mogg's Country Cookhouse - Overstrand

Fantastic food and great service! We were glad to have made reservations for Moggs during our first visit to the wineries and bathing resorts in Westkap. My wife (a vegetarian) and I agreed that this was one of the best meals we had in South Africa during a year to explore different parts of the country. Fresh, tasteful ingredients, well prepared, with a beautiful environment and attentive service. Moggs' menu is not extensive, but everything we had was wonderful and tasteful house cooked. We look forward to a new visit.

Nice, hearty food. Warm, cozy atmosphere. Great options for children and plenty of space for them run over, weather permit.

Beautiful location in Hemel en Aarde Valley with stunning food. A must when visiting the valley. Open Mondays and Tuesdays.

We went here as it sounded interesting and we wanted to do something different for a Wedding Anniversary. It was great; the food was good and the interior was quirky and as it was a cool and very wet day the fire was a bonus. We had hoped to sit outside but the weather wasn't kind to us The dirt road up to the restaurant was rather rutted but not a problem for most vehicles. We would/ will go back.

I am so excited to do this review... My goodness! Absolutely the very best meal I have had in the Western Cape in 20 years. The service is excellent and an all round 100% and 5* experience. Wish my photos could do justice.
