El Jinete Mexican Plate - OOLTEWAH

This is our favorite place to go for Mexican food, by far!! We go every single Sunday. They have football on the TV's.. you can sit inside or outside. The food is always amazing!! We have never experienced bad service or a bad meal at El Jinete! The salsa is always fresh and delicious and my favorite is the simple shrimp tacos, Mexican style with onion and cilantro and the spicy tomatillo salsa is so good!!! My husband's go to dish is Carne asada and the steak was cooked to perfection! Melt in your mouth!!! This place is a must try for sure!!

The food at this restaurant was good. We dined in for dinner and the overall meal type was satisfying. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4 out of 5.

I ordered a meal for 2 people and clearly stated my preferences for dinner. However, the food that arrived was only enough for one person. When I brought this up to the waitress Liz, she had an attitude and insisted that I had ordered for one. She also neglected to refill our drinks and only checked on our table a couple of times. The steak in the fajitas was not sliced into strips and there was no knife provided to cut it with. Unfortunately, both of us fell ill after eating at the restaurant. I do not plan on returning.

I had dinner at this restaurant and the price per person was between $10 and $20. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Carnitas and the Guacamole Casero.
