Molcajete Cocina Mexicana - Oakland

The food was great! The mole had an authentic taste and the mar y tierra fajitas were also incredibly delicious. I loved that they included a few children's menu options (I did not find this information directly on the menu but when I asked the server I learned there were about 3 options for children) the service was also excellent. I also loved the feeling of restaurant, it is a beautifully decorated location and personally made the experience so pleasant. My only problem is not directly with the restaurant, but the parking lot in the area (which is part of the experience). I parked diagonally opposite the restaurant on a designated street parking lot and on returning to my vehicle after our dinner, we found our back window broken, despite being empty from the car. So beware of the parking lot nearby. From some nearby residents we found that this is a common problem for the area, something we wished we had previously known to arrange other forms of transport into the restaurant. Overall food, drinks and experience was amazing and I would definitely return, but not plan to overrun.

Beautiful Mexican restaurant with a local neighborhood vibe, great outdoor seating, fast service and delicious food. They have many cocktail offers and also presented Mexican dishes (some of them really impressed us, although it looks more like a taqueria! We were impressed by the cocktails as they had a great selection! They also put a good amount of alcohol in them. Food quality was great and fell between a taqueria and a sit-down canna. Only the problem we had was that the server had our order wrong and the table next to us, but it was immediately resolved!

Delish and friendly. Outdoor seating! Huge menu, delicious food. Delicious tacos!!! Good place with good people.

Came for brunch and sat in the parklet. It was a windy day so the waiter turned up the heater and partially closed the door to help. They had high chairs available. Service was a bit slow and shots were on the pricier side for some standard drinks but overall okay and the presentation was nice. Food was good. I like when places have house made tortilla chips which were still warm

The food was delicious ? The environment so chill and clean everything from the guacamole and chips to the homemade tortillas I can go on and on. I really highly recommend it.
