Chai Thai Noodles - Oakland

Chai Thai I miss you! We moved out of the state and... it was an adjustment. Not able to collect one of your tables with one of your big dishes with a cold brew laughter and sharing stories with friends and family are one of my great misses. My lav dish is the whole fried fish, my son Lachs Curry, and my husband says Tofu Aubergine, but we admit that we never had a bad meal there and we have had a lot over the years. In addition to the food, the service and the atmosphere is. If you are eating there, feel the spirit of Oakland, authentic Oakland, different Oakland, spiritual Oakland, Love Oakland, this is more of thanks than a complete review because that is what you get more than great food, but a full experience that leaves an impression. Hands down the best Thai place where I was. The dishes had strong and deep flavors. I had the Papaya salad lao style, lao sausages, pad kee mao, chiang mai noodles, and tom yum soup. Everyone had their own taste that didn't taste like the other. My party was too hungry to wait for photos, but it was worth the trip. I gave him 4 stars because it can be a little expensive. I was nationwide in Thai places and that's all. A must in town.

Favorite Thai place, when in Oakland? This is #58 Stir roast noodles with Dungeness crab ?meat so delicious! The price service is always great and welcoming! Thank you.

Amazing Thai food without breaking the bank! Delicious red curry noodles and pad see ew was a little sweeter than me, which I usually like, but still very good. Will definitely try other dishes again.

I want to give this place a good review because the food was delicious. But the service was terrible in a bizarre way. We ordered two appetizers for the table and one dinner each for 4 people. One appetizer came first so far so good. But then, instead of our second appetizer, one of the 4 people's dinner came. We sat there for 10 minutes and then a second dinner came. Another 10 minutes and the 3rd dinner came. The a few minutes later and the 2nd appetizer came. Over a 20 minute+ time frame since our first of 4 dinners arrived, our 4th person still had not received her dinner (and she does not even eat the appetizer items we ordered). In order to eat together, we basically had to wait while the rest of our dinners got almost cold. Our server did not seem to understand or acknowledge how bad this service was. He seemed to think we were complaining over nothing. I would have thought he would blame it on the kitchen and apologize. But nope we had unreasonable expectations apparently. As I said, the food was delicious and nicely prepared. They do a big take out business. Perhaps now I know why most people take out from this place and do not eat in. I highly recommend not eating at this establishment. they do not seem to have a clue how to serve guests.
